The Tree, Leicester

The Tree, Leicester
Formerly known as The Orange Tree, the Tree is a completely renovated pub on Leicester’s High Street. A kind invitation for a media get together to go and check out both the pub and it’s menu got us very excited about seeing the new features.
mercato metropolitano london pizza
Tucked away in the Elephant and Castle, just off Borough High Street, sits Mercato Metropolitano. A food court with a range of stalls spanning a range of cuisines from all around the world. Braving the post-work crowds, we wandered in to check it out.
Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 Opening Night
Who doesn’t like a laugh? In these morose times of Brexit uncertainty, it’s comedy that comes to the rescue once again. I’m very fortunate to live in Leicestershire, a county that is home to the largest comedy festival in England. The Leicester Comedy Festival.

Street Food, Basel
Normally you would arrive in Basel hungry for Fondue or Toblerone, not Pad Thai and Argentine steak. If that is the case, however, you can get your fix of the world food scene in the Markthalle beside the main SBB station. If, like us, you arrive on a Sunday when...

Pizza Ad Hoc, Turin

Pizza Ad Hoc, Turin
After filling up on pizza during our stay in Florence we took a break from wood fired pies in Genoa, mainly gorging on pasta. We decided to get back on the pizza wagon in Turin after a serious case of first night munchies. Just two streets down from our...
Pizza Napoli 1955 Florence
Of all the times I have been to Italy pizza just never seems to feature much in the food itinerary. I’m not sure if it's just too typically Italian or there’s just an abundance of other great dishes available but the humble pie rarely gets a look-in. Until this...
